Alan Hicks
Pastor
Pastor Alan Hicks was born in Marion, NC but grew up in Garner. He was saved in June of 1996 and went immediately into the music and motorcycle ministry. This seemed only fitting after spending 20 years as a touring and recording musician and almost as long hanging out with some of the world’s most notorious Motorcycle Clubs. These ministries included the Christian Motorcyclists Association as well as being one of the founding members of the Christian rock band Second Chance. After moving back to NC he became the Director of Benson Grove Bible Institute Benson, NC. Then in 2011 he moved to Garner where he planted the Just Jesus Community Church.
Alan has two daughters, the youngest in Harrisonburg, VA, and the oldest in Fuquay Varina, NC, and one son who lives in Franklinton, NC. He has also been blessed with two grandsons and two granddaughters.
Alan still plays music as a solo artist and as a “hired gun” whenever someone needs a fill in. He also enjoys writing songs for other artists and being a studio musician. He and his wife of almost thirteen years, Valerie, reside in Garner.
